Many adults would like straighter teeth but do not want to wear a noticeable fixed brace. Invisalign® offers a discreet way to correct tooth alignment using a series of individually made, clear aligners.
At our dental practice in Singen, we have been treating adults with Invisalign® since 2010. Our focus is not only on creating an attractive smile, but also on achieving a healthy bite, stable function and a result that can be maintained in the long term.
Dr Martin Jaroch holds a Master of Science in Orthodontics and has more than 15 years of experience in aligner treatment. He has carried out more than 500 Invisalign treatments and works as an Invisalign mentor for dental professionals in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Our practice is located close to the Swiss border and is easily accessible for patients from Schaffhausen, the canton of Thurgau, Winterthur, St. Gallen, Zurich and the wider Lake Constance region.

Invisalign aligners offer several advantages over conventional fixed braces:
almost invisible when worn
removable for eating and drinking
comfortable in everyday life
individually planned using digital technology
easier oral hygiene
no metal brackets or wires
suitable for adults of almost any age
The aligners are individually manufactured for your teeth. Each aligner applies carefully planned forces and gradually moves the teeth towards their intended positions.
Invisalign can be used to treat a wide range of tooth and bite problems, including:
crowded or overlapping teeth
gaps between teeth
crooked front teeth
crossbite
deep bite
open bite
increased overjet
relapse after previous orthodontic treatment
orthodontic preparation before crowns, bridges or implants
More complex dental and bite problems can often be treated with aligners as well. Whether Invisalign is suitable for you can only be determined after a thorough clinical examination and diagnosis.

Successful aligner treatment does not begin with the first set of trays. It begins with a precise diagnosis.
Depending on your individual situation, your examination may include:
a digital 3D scan
clinical photographs
X-rays, where required
an assessment of jaw function
an examination of the gums and supporting bone
an analysis of the bite
The health of the gums and supporting tissues is particularly important when treating adult patients. Dr Jaroch’s additional postgraduate qualification in periodontology allows tooth movement to be planned with careful consideration of gum health, bone support and long-term tooth preservation.

A personalised digital treatment plan is created using your 3D scan and the findings from your examination.
Before treatment begins, the digital plan can help you understand:
which tooth movements are intended
how your smile may change
which stages are planned
how long treatment is expected to take
The digital simulation is an important planning tool. It is not a guaranteed representation of the final clinical result. Throughout treatment, the actual progress of your teeth is reviewed. The treatment plan can be adjusted whenever necessary.

1. Consultation and Examination
We examine your teeth, gums and bite and discuss your concerns and treatment goals.
2. Digital Scan
A precise three-dimensional scan of your teeth is taken.
3. Individual Treatment Planning
Your tooth movements and treatment stages are planned digitally.
4. Production of Your Aligners
Your personalised series of Invisalign aligners is manufactured.
5. Wearing the Aligners
The aligners are normally worn for approximately 20 to 22 hours per day and changed according to your individual treatment plan.
6. Progress Appointments
Your treatment is monitored at regular intervals. The spacing of appointments depends on the complexity and progress of your case. For patients travelling from Switzerland or from further away, we aim to organise appointments as efficiently as possible. Where clinically appropriate, several sets of aligners can be provided at the same visit.

A growing number of clear-aligner systems are available today.
However, the success of treatment does not depend on the aligner alone. Accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment planning, clinical experience and regular professional supervision are equally important. Safe tooth movement requires careful evaluation of the teeth, gums, supporting bone and bite. It also requires the treatment to be monitored and adjusted when necessary. Every Invisalign treatment at our practice is therefore planned and supervised personally. Our objective is not simply to create straighter front teeth. We aim to achieve a stable, functional and healthy result.
Many patients have previously been told that their tooth or bite problem is too complex for aligner treatment.
Depending on the diagnosis, Invisalign can also be considered for more demanding situations, including:
severe crowding
complex bite discrepancies
relapse after previous orthodontic treatment
treatment involving crowns or implants
patients with reduced periodontal support
interdisciplinary treatment involving several areas of dentistry
Some cases may require additional measures, attachments, elastics or a combination of different treatment techniques.
A detailed examination is necessary before we can determine whether Invisalign is appropriate for your individual case.

Treatment time depends on the starting position of your teeth, the complexity of the required movements and your individual response to treatment.
Minor corrections may sometimes be completed within a few months.
More complex tooth and bite movements generally require a longer treatment period.
After your examination and digital planning, you will receive an individual estimate of the expected treatment time.
The cost of Invisalign treatment depends on several factors, including:
the type and severity of the misalignment
the complexity of the treatment
the number of aligners required
the expected treatment duration
any additional treatment measures
Following your examination, you will receive a transparent and individual treatment and cost plan.
Patients from Switzerland are welcome to contact us in advance if they require specific documents for a private insurer or supplementary dental insurance provider.
Any reimbursement depends on the terms of the individual insurance policy and cannot be guaranteed by our practice.
