Three disciplines. One treatment plan. One shared goal.
Gums, tooth position and missing teeth are more closely connected than they often seem. A tooth that has lost support through periodontitis can drift. A gap lets the neighbouring teeth tip into it. Crooked teeth are harder to clean and put strain on the gums. Treating these problems one after the other, each on its own, solves one of them – and sometimes just moves the next one along.
POI360° is the treatment concept Dr. M.Sc. M.Sc. Martin Jaroch developed for exactly this. It combines periodontology, orthodontics and implant dentistry in one treatment plan. Dr. Jaroch holds two Master of Science degrees – in orthodontics and in periodontology and implant therapy – so we plan all three areas together.
Position. Tissue. Implant. Aesthetics.
Each word of the concept’s motto stands for one building block of the plan:
Position: teeth in a favourable position are easier to clean and take the load more evenly.
Tissue: healthy, inflammation-free gums and enough bone are the foundation for every further step.
Implant: where a tooth cannot be saved, an implant is fitted into the planned overall situation.
Aesthetics: a natural appearance is not a separate final step; it follows from the three building blocks before it.
What does POI360° mean for you?
Before any treatment starts, we look at your whole situation: gums and bone, the position of your teeth, any gaps and your own wishes. From this we draw up a plan that sets out what makes sense and in which order. You know from the start how the individual steps fit together, instead of having to re-plan after every treatment.
Not every patient needs all three disciplines. Often one is enough – POI360° then mainly means that we keep the other two in mind while planning.
Who is POI360° for?
The concept is meant for patients in whom several of these issues come together – gums, tooth position and missing teeth. Whether that applies to you and which steps make sense is something we discuss after the examination.
How the three disciplines work together
Periodontology provides an inflammation-free foundation: we first bring any gum inflammation under control before teeth are moved or implants are placed. Where needed, we strengthen thin gums with plastic gum surgery.
Orthodontics moves the teeth into a position where they are easy to care for and take the load evenly. We correct tooth position with fixed braces or Invisalign®. Sometimes this also creates the space for an implant or closes a gap.
Implant dentistry replaces teeth that cannot be saved. Because the gums and tooth position have already been planned, the implant position can be matched to them.
Treatment in four steps
Examination and diagnostics: we examine your teeth, gums and bone using our digital diagnostics.
Joint treatment plan: we discuss with you which steps make sense, in which order, and what the alternatives are. Before treatment starts you receive a written treatment and cost plan.
Treatment in a coordinated order: any gum inflammation is brought under control first; the further steps follow in the order your plan sets out.
Aftercare: regular check-ups and professional teeth cleaning help to keep what has been achieved in the long term.
An example from everyday practice
The following situation is typical, but every treatment is planned individually. What result is realistic in your case is something we discuss after the examination.

How much does treatment under POI360° cost?
POI360° is a planning concept, not a separately priced treatment. The costs follow from the individual treatments in your plan and depend on how you are insured. Do I need all three treatments?
No. The plan contains only what makes sense in your situation. Often it is a single treatment, planned with the other areas in mind.
Why are the gums treated first?
Moving teeth in inflamed gums or placing an implant there can put extra strain on the supporting tissues. That is why the inflammation is brought under control first.
How long does treatment under POI360° take?
That depends on the steps in your plan. We discuss duration and costs after the examination.
