Digital diagnostics at our practice in Singen

In our practice, precise digital diagnostics go hand in hand with biologically and functionally considered dentistry. Digital diagnostics let us record your starting situation accurately – the basis for planning any treatment.

Digital X-rays by Sirona

For X-rays, we use digital radiography from Dentsply Sirona. Digital sensors need a lower radiation dose than conventional X-ray film, and we can enlarge and assess the images directly on screen.

Cephalometric analysis for orthodontic growth diagnostics

A lateral cephalometric X-ray gives us a detailed side view of your skull and facial growth. This is crucial for assessing jaw development in children and teens, so orthodontic treatments can be started at the ideal time. It’s also invaluable for adult aesthetic and functional planning.

Digitally controlled root canal treatments

Root canal treatment calls for very precise work. We use digital length measurement and computer-guided preparation systems to clean and shape the root canals accurately. This helps us clean the canals thoroughly right down to the root tip.

Periodontal treatments with AirScaler

In addition to hand instruments, we use an air scaler to treat the gum tissue and tooth roots. It removes deposits with sonic vibrations and a water spray, and many patients find it comfortable.

Digital implant planning

For implants, we plan digitally: before the procedure, we decide where the implant should sit, taking into account the available bone, the neighbouring teeth and aesthetics. Where needed, a surgical guide transfers this plan to the mouth.

iTero Lumina intraoral scanner – high-tech for precision, comfort & visualisation

Our iTero Lumina intraoral scanner replaces impression material with a digital 3D scan.

Teeth and gums at a glance

  • The high-resolution scans help us assess changes to teeth and gums. They complement the examination and, where needed, X-rays, but do not replace them.

TimeLapse & monitoring changes

  • With the TimeLapse function, we can compare your current scans with earlier ones and show where your teeth, gums or wear have changed over time.

Occlusion & contact point analysis

  • Colour maps show where your teeth make contact – a basis for detecting and treating faulty contacts.

Smile simulations & before-and-after previews

  • We can show you simulated previews of your smile after treatments such as veneers, aligners or implants – not only on the dental arch but directly on your face. The simulation is a planning aid and does not replace an examination.

For you this means:

  • No impression trays or impression material

  • A clear consultation in which you see on screen what is possible

  • A precise basis for planning

In short

Whether it’s diagnostics or treatment – we bring together modern technology and biologically considered dentistry as the basis for your long-term oral health.
