Dr. M.Sc. M.Sc. Martin Jaroch, Master of Science in Orthodontics, is an Invisalign mentor for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At his practice in Singen he brings many years of experience with Invisalign® – including with complex orthodontic problems.

Invisalign uses clear, removable trays, known as aligners, that are made individually for your teeth. They are barely noticeable in everyday life – which is why many people call them invisible braces.

Your Invisalign dentist for Singen, the Hegau, Konstanz and Switzerland

Our practice is located in Singen am Hohentwiel and is easy to reach from the Hegau, from Konstanz and from the whole Lake Constance region. The Swiss border is only a few minutes away: many of our patients come from Schaffhausen, Thurgau, Winterthur, St. Gallen and the Zurich area.

For patients travelling further, we schedule check-ups at longer intervals where clinically appropriate and often provide several sets of aligners at once. What patients from Switzerland should know about appointments and billing is explained under Invisalign for Swiss patients.

Invisible braces: what sets Invisalign apart

  • almost invisible, clear aligners

  • removable for eating and brushing

  • no brackets and no wires

  • easy oral hygiene throughout treatment

  • digital 3D planning: you can see in advance how your smile is planned to change

  • individually made trays, changed step by step

Whether Invisalign is the best option for you depends on the position of your teeth and jaws. In some cases fixed braces or another orthodontic treatment are the better choice – we discuss this openly during your consultation.

Invisalign for adults – aligners for complex cases too

Many adults would like straighter teeth without wearing noticeable braces. For adults this is not only about appearance but also about a healthy bite and keeping their own teeth for the long term. With his second Master of Science in Periodontology and Implant Therapy, Dr. Jaroch plans every tooth movement with particular attention to the gums and bone.

More demanding situations can often be treated with Invisalign as well, such as severe crowding, relapse after earlier braces or treatment combined with implants. Read more under Invisalign for adults and Invisalign for gum recession and periodontitis.

Invisalign for children and teenagers

Invisalign® First is designed for children in the mixed dentition stage, Invisalign® Teen for teenagers whose permanent teeth have largely come through. Which treatment and which timing are right is decided after a careful examination – not every child needs braces straight away. Read more under Invisalign for kids and teens.

How Invisalign treatment works in Singen

  1. Consultation and diagnosis: we examine your teeth, gums and bite and discuss your goals. This includes a digital 3D scan, photographs and – where required – X-rays.

  2. Digital treatment planning: based on the scan, we plan every tooth movement on the computer. You can see in advance how your smile is planned to change and roughly how long treatment will take.

  3. Making the aligners: your Invisalign trays are made individually for you.

  4. Treatment: you wear the aligners for about 20 to 22 hours a day and change them according to plan.

  5. Check-ups: we review your progress regularly and adjust the plan if necessary.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

That depends on your starting situation. Minor corrections can be completed within a few months, while more complex tooth movements take longer. After the examination and digital planning, you will receive an individual estimate of the expected treatment time.

How much does Invisalign cost in Singen?

The cost depends on your diagnosis – above all on the type of misalignment, the scope of treatment, the number of aligners required and the treatment time. After the examination, we prepare a transparent, individual treatment and cost plan before treatment begins.

For patients from Switzerland, billing follows German law. Whether your supplementary dental insurance contributes depends on your policy; you can submit the written cost plan to your insurer in advance.

Frequently asked questions about Invisalign

Does Invisalign hurt?

After changing to a new aligner you may feel mild pressure for a short time. This is a normal sign of the planned tooth movement and usually fades quickly.

How many hours a day do I need to wear the aligners?

Usually 20 to 22 hours a day. They only come out for eating, for drinking anything other than water and for cleaning your teeth.

Can I speak normally and play sports with Invisalign?

After a short adjustment period most patients speak completely normally. Sport is possible; for contact sports an additional mouthguard may be advisable.

How often do I need to come in for check-ups?

That depends on your treatment plan. For patients travelling further, for example from Switzerland, appointments can often be scheduled at longer intervals.

Is Invisalign right for me?

That can only be decided after an examination. During your consultation we assess your teeth, gums and bite and discuss all suitable options – including alternatives to aligners.

You will find more answers in our FAQ on braces and aligners.
